At the invitation of a Shanghai data center, Taybo customized and implemented a "quasi-24/7 dual-cooling-source" energy-saving retrofit solution for the facility.Pre-retrofit conditions are as follows:
項(xiàng)目位于上海市,為某數(shù)據(jù)中心冷源節(jié)能改造,在用機(jī)柜實(shí)際功率為3500kW。原有冷源形式為變頻離心式冷水機(jī)組+冷卻塔+板換,末端精密空調(diào)送風(fēng)形式為下送風(fēng)上回風(fēng)形式,回風(fēng)溫度約27℃。
The project is located in Shanghai, involving an energy-saving retrofit of the cooling source for a data center, with the actual power of operational cabinets being 3,500 kW.The original cooling system consisted of variable-frequency centrifugal chillers + cooling towers + plate heat exchangers, while the precision air conditioning at the terminals adopted an underfloor air supply and overhead return air configuration, with a return air temperature of approximately 27°C.

This project fully leverages Shanghai's abundant natural cooling resources to significantly reduce annual operating hours of air conditioning compressors, effectively lower data center PUE, and achieve energy-saving and carbon reduction goals. Taybo provides an innovative energy-efficient solution for data centers, featuring a high-efficiency natural cooling system through the coordinated operation of Taybo's customized high-performance heat exchangers, dual-source CDUs, advanced control systems, and closed-circuit cooling towers.The core retrofit measures are as follows:
(1)新增自然冷源系統(tǒng):在原有系統(tǒng)基礎(chǔ)上,增加泰鉑定制研發(fā)的冷卻塔、高效換熱設(shè)備及中央控制系統(tǒng)。
1.New Natural Cooling System:
A Taybo-customized cooling tower, high-efficiency heat exchange equipment, and central control system have been added to the existing infrastructure.
(2)雙源協(xié)同與智能控制:
2.Dual-Source Synergy & Intelligent Control:
1)室外溫度較低時(shí)(通常低于設(shè)定閾值),系統(tǒng)全部采用自然冷源(閉式冷卻塔+換熱器)供冷,關(guān)閉或最小化機(jī)械制冷。
When outdoor temperatures are low (typically below the set threshold), the system operates entirely on natural cooling sources (closed-circuit cooling towers + heat exchangers), shutting down or minimizing mechanical refrigeration.
2)室外溫度較高,自然冷源不足以帶走全部室內(nèi)熱量時(shí),系統(tǒng)智能開啟機(jī)械制冷,形成“機(jī)械制冷+自然冷源”的雙冷源協(xié)同模式。
When outdoor temperatures rise and natural cooling sources cannot fully remove indoor heat load, the system intelligently activates mechanical refrigeration, creating a dual-source synergy mode combining"mechanical + natural cooling".
3)自然冷源系統(tǒng)采用1+1備份設(shè)計(jì),全方位保障供冷連續(xù)性和系統(tǒng)穩(wěn)定運(yùn)行。
The natural cooling system features a 1+1 redundant configuration, ensuring comprehensive cooling continuity and system stability.
(3)無干擾改造:方案不改變數(shù)據(jù)中心原有制冷系統(tǒng)設(shè)備,改造期間保障不間斷供冷,極大降低實(shí)施風(fēng)險(xiǎn)和對(duì)業(yè)務(wù)的影響。
3.Non-Disruptive Retrofit:
The solution preserves the existing cooling infrastructure while ensuring uninterrupted cooling during implementation, significantly reducing operational risks and business impact.
(4)冷負(fù)荷轉(zhuǎn)移: 新增一套自然冷源系統(tǒng),優(yōu)先采用自然冷源供冷,大幅降低后續(xù)水冷機(jī)組的能耗負(fù)擔(dān)。在適宜氣候條件下,自然冷源系統(tǒng)可完全獨(dú)立承擔(dān)制冷任務(wù)。
4.Cooling Load Shifting:
A new natural cooling system will be added to prioritize free cooling, significantly reducing the energy load on the subsequent water-cooled chiller units. Under suitable climate conditions, the natural cooling system can fully and independently handle the cooling demand.
實(shí)施改造后,本項(xiàng)目年節(jié)約用電量為213萬kWh,年節(jié)約費(fèi)用170萬元(電費(fèi)單價(jià)0.8元/kWh)。
After the retrofit, the project achieves an annual electricity savings of 2.13 million kWh, resulting in costsavings of 1.7 million yuan per year (electricity price: 0.8 yuan/kWh).
技術(shù)成效及獨(dú)特性分析

本項(xiàng)目涉及的改造不改變數(shù)據(jù)中心的原有設(shè)備,安裝便捷,改造期間實(shí)現(xiàn)不間斷供冷。改造后實(shí)現(xiàn)年節(jié)省標(biāo)煤604噸標(biāo)準(zhǔn)煤(tce),實(shí)現(xiàn)年碳減排量894噸,年節(jié)省能源費(fèi)用170萬元。且本項(xiàng)目采用泰鉑科技投資,客戶分享節(jié)能收益的形式,客戶可在節(jié)省固定資產(chǎn)投入的同時(shí)共獲得220萬元的節(jié)能收益。
The retrofit involved in this project does not modify the existing equipment of the data center, ensuring easy installation and uninterrupted cooling during the upgrade. Post-retrofit, it achieves an annual reduction of 604 tce in standard coal consumption, an annual carbon emission reduction of 894 tons, and annual energy cost savings of 1.7 million yuan. Additionally, this project follows an investment model by Taybo, where the customer shares in the energy-saving benefits. The customer can save on fixed asset investment while receiving a total of 2.2 million yuan in energy-saving revenue.
